Hello! I hope you are all having a good June and enjoying the intermittent ‘summer’ weather?!
I was asked yesterday to contribute to a piece inspired by Gwyneth’s Paltrow’s instagram post over the weekend where she shared a photograph of her ex-husband Chris Martin, with their daughter on Fathers Day, and applauded father’s everywhere.
It was an example of healthy parenting following separation, and the journalist I was contacted by was hoping to build on that sentiment with a more in-depth piece looking at how to positively manage divorce.

All children will ‘behave badly’ at some point or another. Some parents seem to cope better at these points than others, but we can all learn their secret.

As a relationship counsellor I frequently hear about moments of family strife, many of which seem to come at times which are ‘supposed to be’ wonderful and stress-free; such as setting off on holiday!
My two children are aged 7 and 4 and, being a British Army family, I have moved house 6 times in the past 7 years as well as taking numerous road trips and short breaks, usually to pass the time during weekends and holidays when my husband is away.
